bighorn sheep - ovis canadensis

The North American bighorn sheep are descendants from wild sheep found on this continent millions of years ago. In days long gone, they migrated from Siberia to Alaska, crossing the frozen waters of the Bering Sea. From Alaska, they spread out all over North America.
