The North American bighorn sheep (Ovis Canadensis) are descendants from wild sheep found on this continent millions of years ago.
Bighorn sheep inhabit grassy mountains, alpine meadows and foothill country near rocky cliffs that allow quick escape. During the October mating season, the males or rams, test the strength of their horns on each other. And the strongest? .... well, he gets the opportunity to visit the ladies (ewes).
